About Us

Welcome to Fuller Farms!

Hi Everyone! Justin and Loren here. To start this story off, we grew up with zero experience or knowledge on how to have a farm, homestead, or take care of any livestock animals. We both grew up in neighborhoods with a dog and cat here and there, but never knew what it would be like to have a farm. Through YouTube, books, constant research, and a mentor or two, we took our first steps into homesteading and planted a small backyard garden. While Justin dove head in, I (Loren) was still hesitant about what all homesteading entailed. Plus, we were on a small half acre lot, so I didn’t think there was much we could do. Boy was I wrong! We didn’t stop at a backyard garden. Soon, Justin pitched the idea of raising quail in our back yard. I was instantly against it, but we came to a compromise – Justin could have quail if I could adopt another dog (seems like a fair trade, right?).

After raising quail and having our small backyard garden, We quickly fell in love with animal husbandry, taking care of the land, and providing food for ourselves. This love especially deepened when we struggled with infertility. We started diving deep into what was in our food, where our food was coming from, and what is in our skin products. Skip forward to 2022 and we are now nestled in our dream home in North Alabama on 118 acres of wooded and pasture land. We started raising raising chickens for meat and eggs and quickly expanded to Mini Nubian goats to provide ourselves with raw milk, cheese, and goat milk soap. Next, we we decided to try our hands at woodland raised pork. In 2023 we welcomed our adoptive son into our home and shortly after, we added our biological daughter. So, while we are on a break from providing pork and chicken to our community so that we can focus on our precious (and a little feral 🙂 ) children, our ultimate goal is to come back to being able to provide nutrient dense meat and high quality products from our home to yours. We are glad you are here and we hope you follow along on our journey.
